…Just really busy, I just moved to a new flat.
I plan on getting back to posting drawings and stuff soon.
The Forlorn Scientist by Mark Moore Illustration
Mark Moore does have a tumblr so check it out: MMIllus.
Found one of my drawings whilst browsing the Dr Robotnik tag :) It deserves a reblog.
Skinny Robotnik
Doing some much needed doodling when suddenly - skinny Dr Robotnik.
Obviously he’s let his beard grow out a bit, he looks like Kamaji from spirited away.
Finally been able to do some personal work this weekend, only had time to do some sketches but nevertheless It was good to pick up a pencil again. I started a new job 3 weeks ago as an illustrator for a company that makes short animated videos and I’ve been adjusting to the 9-5 life.
This is yet another sketch for the comic “I’ve been working on” for ages, I hope to finally start proper work on it now, its funny that I’ve been talking about it for over a year. I think the main problem I have is deciding on the look of the main character, I want to feel comfortable drawing him over and over. It might also help that my free time is now not spent looking for a “proper job”, I might actually get some personal work done. More to come soon…

Its difficult making the nose I want to make from the existing mesh, I may have to add a separate object as the nose. I am going to add the mouth and eyes as a texture rather than sculpt them.
I took a break from the lady I was making in blender to focus on making a low poly guy. I wanted to see how low poly I could make it. It’s not low poly enough, it needs less polys…

Blender Lady Update 2
Today I decided to model a hand to go with another model I’m making. The problem is I got too involved with it and it got too detailed to go with the original model. So I decided to learn how to add an armature so that it would be poseable.
I watched 2 videos which really helped with the making of this hand, the first video isn’t really a tutorial but its good to watch all the way through to see how a detailed model is put together, the hand modeling starts at 3.20.
This second video is a tutorial on adding an armature.
Blender Lady Update 1
I started modelling a lady in Blender (here), I’ve decided to post updates on how I’m getting on with the model. Each time I make significant changes I’ll post a new picture or 2. I’m still not entirely sure about what I’m doing, I just tend to move vertices around until I think it looks right and then use “sculpt” to mess around a bit.
This is something I started doing today in blender, I just wanted to see how easy it was to make a simple figure (this is a female). I’m going to continue with this model and see how detailed I can make it before my computer starts having a meltdown. After my 8800GT died a few months ago it’s becoming more apparent that I’m due for a computer upgrade.
