I’m reblogging my 2 year old post which has been sat at around 12,500 notes for at least a year.
Over the last couple of days It’s jumped up and is approaching 16,000 notes.
I have been saying in my last couple of blog posts that I’m going to start posting more frequently again…I’ve got some projects I want to do and hopefully in the next few months I’ll be back to regular posts.
I’ve been busy the past few days doing some wedding invites for a friend. This is the final illustration for the invites. I’ve got some roughs and alternatives that I’ll probably post over the next few days, mostly involving Pikachu and Hello Kitty. Obviously I didn’t charge as neither me or the friend owns the rights to these characters, it was however a fun personal project.
If you’d like any personalised wedding illustration for anything from save the date’s to wedding invites you can get in touch here. Keep in mind though I cant draw any copyrighted characters, the above image is just a fun example.
I’ve just downloaded the Paint Tool SAI trial and I’m impressed. This is literally the first thing I’ve drawn in it. It’s like a mirror version of Photoshop. I don’t think it’s quite ready to dethrone Photoshop for me but I think I’ll be using it a lot more.
I’ve been excited for Halloween this year as I wanted to try a proper pumpkin carving. This is the first time I’ve actually “carved” a pumpkin, I’ve always done the more traditional ones where you just cut out shapes like a stencil. I keep seeing these elaborate carved faces each year and thought this year I’d finally attempt one of my own and thought there was no better place to start than the moon from Majora’s Mask (I did Majora’s Mask itself last year). The face is a little big but I’m quite happy with how it turned out.
I’ve been re-working some Nintendo fan-art I did a while ago and I wanted to experiment a bit more using Photoshop to make gifs. I was going for a sort of Streets of Rage style character selection screen for a Nintendo game that doesn’t exist.
Spoilers- What’s that you say? The N64 didn’t come out until 97? Harry would be mourning the death of Dumbledore, not playing video games? Well, Things are different in the wizarding world, the N64 came out in about 1990 there, Nintendo are actually a wizard company and muggles are 7 years behind.
They’re in their 4th year here, chilling out before the Triwizard Tournament.
