Afternoon doodles/dusting off the wacom. I used to always use my graphics tablet, I usually stick to pencil now. I’m going to start using it again though because I like the crispness of working straight from digital. I also messed around with symmetry to discover how incredibly asymmetrical my work is.

Cats In The Night - Blog Edition
I submitted this illustration to a couple of other blogs and I didn’t want to have the same image 3 times on tumblr. I edited the colour palette for this version which will be posted to my blog, I’ll reblog the other 2 original versions if they resurface but I thought It would be nice to have an “original” that’s on my own blog.
I wanted to experiment with explosions on this image, warm colours and radial blur (zoom) are super effective. I don’t draw explosions very often but It’s good to know how to.

#29 Angel Eyes.
I’ve been severely neglecting my drawing a day recently, I’ve decided that instead of posting for all the days I missed I will just start again now and try to be more consistent. The Idea of me doing a drawing a day is to document the drawings I do which I wouldn’t normally share and improve the frequency of my blog posts, It’s supposed to be digital version of my sketchbook. One reason I haven’t been drawing as much is that I ran out of 2B pencils (my preferred drawing pencil), I’ve purchased some HBs to keep me going but single graded pencils are a rare thing in Southport.
